TWO TWELVE ASSOCIATES WELCOMES SARAH HAUN AS DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

New York, NY 1 July 2002-Two Twelve Associates (http://www.twotwelve.com), a leading strategic design firm that specializes in signage and wayfinding, digital media, branding and print communications, announces that Sarah Haun has joined the firm as director of marketing and communications.

The goal of Ms. Haun's communications program for Two Twelve is to raise awareness of the firm and the role of its design work in helping corporate, institutional and municipal clients communicate effectively with diverse constituents.

Ms. Haun's appointment reflects Two Twelve's commitment to serving clients and participating in the design community on many levels. Since the company's downtown location was destroyed in the September 11th attacks, the principals and staff have rebuilt the business on activities and projects largely related to the public interest. These and ongoing commissions have included a graphic identity and Web site for New York City's 500-event Downtown Alliance River-to-River Festival; environmental graphics, bid publications and marketing materials for New York City's bid for the 2012 Olympic Games; and identification and wayfinding signage for South Street Seaport historic district and pier area.

Prior to joining Two Twelve, Ms. Haun was an independent communications consultant to creative service businesses. Earlier, Ms. Haun was vice president of corporate communications at Red Sky Interactive, and international communications manager at Pentagram Design in New York City.

Ms. Haun has been a featured writer and speaker on marketing and public relations issues in the design business, and she presently serves on the board of Worldstudio Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships and mentoring programs to disadvantaged art and design students. She earned her BA from Yale University and an MS in Communications Management from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Two Twelve Associates (http://www.twotwelve.com) is a multi-disciplinary design company specializing in the planning and presentation of complex information to diverse audiences. David Gibson founded Two Twelve in 1980, and he and his partner Ann Harakawa presently run the firm's New York-based operation, including its subsidiary Two Twelve Harakawa. Two Twelve offers a full range of services in print, interactive and environmental graphic design for corporate, institutional and municipal clients nationwide. Important commissions have included the design of the Census 2000 forms and canvassing materials; environmental graphics, bid publications and marketing materials for New York City's bid for the 2012 Olympic Games; signage for Radio City Music Hall and Grand Central Terminal in New York City; environmental graphics and wayfinding for the American Airlines Center Arena in Dallas; and annual catalogues and a new Web site for The Leigh Bureau, one of the nation's leading speakers bureaus.
