To help patients and visitors navigate the large and expanding Massachusetts General Hospital complex, we developed sign systems that address visitor wayfinding and donor recognition needs through different design strategies.

Two Twelve worked with Mass General staff and Stubbins Associates architects (now KlingStubbins) to design systems for the main campus in the 1990s. When the Hospital built a new facility a decade later, the primary wayfinding strategy proved to be extensible.

The new Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care is the largest and most comprehensive ambulatory care facility in New England. Signage design variations coordinate with the architectural intent developed by Steffian Bradley, Perkins + Will, and Cambridge Seven.

Our work for Mass General was featured in a special healthcare issue of segdDESIGN magazine.
