Scenic Hudson was one of the first environmental action groups in America. Their work prevented the construction of a power plant at Storm King in 1963, a landmark decision that led the US Congress to draft the first National Environmental Policy Act.

Two Twelve worked closely with Scenic Hudson to develop a prototype signage program for five park sites on the Hudson River. The communication goal was to represent the parks as a connected system, but celebrate each one’s individual natural and historical features. We developed a simple system of identification and orientation sign types that are similar in structure but unique in content. This approach satisfied the needs for both consistent brand recognition and distinctive interpretation.
